Safe Driving Tips

Here in St. Louis, driving is beyond complicated, since you need to be aware of the lack of care and courtesy of other drivers, with pedestrians who are entitled to walk the streets or soothing, if not stuck next to the curb (1 meter), without worrying about who's coming and when we're lucky, cyclists that travel against the hand, but as if they were in the very own.

Overtaking on the right
Here it is very common for cars to make overtaking on the right, even when you're with the right arrow to enter. Much does not reduce, are like nothing happens, and you reduce all continue as if waiting for you to do something ... when we are near the entrance, you try to accelerate and all also accelerate.

So remember, do not make the overtaking from the right, except when we are in a normal track of rolangem.

Changing lanes
The right thing is to use the arrow when changing lanes. I joke that here in St. Louis that cars already out of line without the arrows, because nobody uses.

I have witnessed cases where the driver to the track and then, connect the arrow, stating that he wants to go to the left ... he stopped on the track at high speed.

If not, he leaves the lane, cut one or two tracks, to get into a street right. That is, only binds the arrow and enter, if you do not sing or reduces tire, you hit ... and yet, it happens the driver stop, get out and give a Quarrel know when it was connected with the arrow.

From what I remember, the use of the arrow is required for any change lanes, and you must use the arrow, change lanes, and even go a little off, to turn again and go changing, so that all the vehicles behind, may understand what happens.

Headlights at night
Usually it is right that all vehicles must use headlights at night, but many use headlights or with the intensity of permitted or prefer to stay only with the spotlight, giving you the obligation to see the velocity and even imagine that one has car using the spotlight.

Above the speed of the track
The speeds are on average 60km ... but always, motorists have flashing beacon, glued to my back, wanting you to leave the track anyway.

I've had cases that were in a two-track roads, with vehicles were right in a tunnel, was already above the permitted speed on the road and a 4x4 stuck, forcing the bar ...

Sign in via a
When traffic is low, everything is going well ... the problem is when you try to enter a route during rush hour. Nobody, but nobody reduces or open space, even though the traffic stand still ... everyone wants you to first get somewhere, but I think nobody knows where. Does the courtesy of an open space or time will delay both the time of others?

Pedestrians
These are dangerous here ... if you're not careful, you'll have trouble with the law, if you can not even go to jail, not by negligence but by the total lack of acumen / sense / concept of crossing the tracks.

That is normal you see people walking by soothing avenues expressed, cutting diagonally, without looking back, like a neighborhood street on a Sunday very day of decision.

Downtown, the streets are short, with cars parked at the side, tight pants and when it has a lamp post, people have no other option but to walk along the sidewalk, but ... many people are not there, then you need to have 2-3 times more carefully.

The incredible, the level of accidents and deaths are low trampling ... Incredible even.

Parking
Anywhere in the world, all respect some basic rules such as:
- Maintain a maximum of 40cm from the curb when parked next
- Staying centered in the wave
- Leave enough room for another car when finalizing the boundary-makers
- Watch and be careful when you open the door
- No parking on sidewalks.
- Observe the size of your vehicle, along the length of the wave
- No parking on site that may hinder or even cause traffic accidents

Here, the parks as people want, without worrying about who's coming or going. How often had to make moves to get by taking a fine car in my building? How often saw big cars, like vans, 4x4 parked any were mainly places for compact cars.

Cases like people who park their cars in double rows or even triple, leaving the vehicle and disappear ... hold your car and transit times and are not aware.

Cases like to park diagonally, taking up 2 or 3 places in parking lots that normally fill such as supermarkets and shopping malls.

I can not understand how these people act ... therefore, they themselves must suffer with comparable situations.

Indecision using the route
It must be that, because it is not uncommon, you're on a road with two lanes, the vehicle in front, is swinging from one track to another, but always keeping in the middle. There is no decision that will be full, and when you flash the headlight does not touch or even makes a point of getting nervous slowing or even swearing.

I even think that could be drivers who have the fear of being close to the curb, or that test drunk, or with vision problems ...anyway, these drivers would NOT be driving cars in the city.

Conclusion?
I do not know if I can finish, but in fact, the traffic of St. Louis is the worst traffic I've ever had the opportunity to travel, it is.

I would appreciate if people could think a little more in the other and stop being so selfish and driving their vehicles as if they own the city or even a relative of someone important.

I pay taxes just like other people ... I have the same rights as everyone, so there are no advantages, except that you are traveling on your property ... then good use.
