Sealed battery decreases the driver's worries

With it installed on the car is not always necessary to observe the water level. Who has not sealed battery, these maintenance-free, you know: once a year you need to check your water level, not to be on hand. This is because the sealed battery requires no maintenance. According to manufacturers, hard water for your entire life without needing to recharge.

"This time of life usually gets in two and a half years, but up to four years if the battery is well maintained. In sealed, the chemical process to produce electricity consumes a negligible amount of water," explains Marcelo Zamberso, chief workshop.

The problem is that in some cases overload the water simply disappears and, being sealed, the battery needs to be replaced by a new one, since there is no way to reload or check the liquid level. This is perhaps the "advantage" of the battery is not sealed. The downside is having to check every year the water level.

The lifetime of both types of battery, if well cared for, is practically the same. It is up to the customer to choose which battery put in your car.

In the battery is not sealed, the chemical process to produce electricity and water consumed for this reason the water level must be verified and completed. Other consume so little that need not recharge over its useful life, such as sealed. If the fluid level gets too low as to expose plates of lead, they are permanently damaged.

Another caution is necessary not to fall as car batteries, to prevent fluid from leaking out, since even have sealed the vents through which the liquid can escape.
