THE WHEEL - The greatest invention of all time

Without the wheel, the man would not get very far.It is believed that it was developed from the roll, probably a tree trunk, which represented the first means used by man to prevent the friction drag between two planes, replacing it with the rolling resistance. It is said that the Egyptians placed tree trunks in the manner of drums, to carry heavy loads. It would have appeared the fixed axle with disks of wood at the ends.

The earliest traces of the use of the wheel vehicle is drawing a cart on a plate of clay found in Sumer (Mesopotamia) in 3500 BC Apparently, it was a hearse with two round tables of both prey side by a central board.

The evolution of the wheels of motor ve-lo originated directly from the wheels of the old horse-drawn carriages, which were at first identical.Currently the automotive wheels are quite complex: an inflated tire, metal structure, beak-like calibration, balancing pads and numerous innovations whose purpose is to offer more stability, security, impact resistance and durability.

Following the evolution of humanity, we affirm that the invention of the wheel is the essence of civilization and the key technological development.

It is fascinating to observe the ability of man in his march to progress. Even being perfect, the wheel was originally being perfected and adapted for different uses.

The simple wheelbarrow invented by the Chinese around 200 BC, leading seven times more cargo and passengers than the human shoulder. The bike set up in France in 1645, allowing speeds of up to three times higher than that of a man slowly walk along it stresses.

Today, faster, slower, millions of wheels, large or small, operate in the world, transforming life in motion. A key indicator of consumer progress of a country, usually measured by the amount of wheel spin that this country is and how fast.

Now they're reinventing the wheel. It seems incredible but the new wheel is just ... square. The new method of locomotion, is already being patented by the creators and may be useful in various applications such as building robots, toys and micro-machinery for locomotion on land special. But that's another story ...
